Know all men by these presents that I Obediah W. Bowles of the County of El Dorado and State of California have made, constituted and appointed, and by these presents do make, constitute and appoint DeLafayette Bowles of Barren County, State of Kentucky, my true and lawful attorney for me and in my name, place and stead and for my use and benefit to ask, demand, sue for, recover, and receive of and from George Shirley, the Administrator of the estate William A. Bowles, deceased, late of Metcalfe County, State of Kentucky, or from any or all of the legal representatives of the said William A. Bowles,, any and all sum or sums of money which the said William A. Bowles at the time of his death had held in trust for me, either as the administrator or Executor of the estate of the late John Bowles, deceased, my late Father and late of Metcalfe County, State of Kentucky, or which the said William A. Bowles had or held in trust for me as my duly constituted attorney in fact at the time of his death or immediately previous thereto; or that the said William A. Bowles at or immediately previous to the time of his death had or held in trust for me as Administrator or Executor of the estate of Austin W. Bowles, my late brother now deceased. Also for me and in my name, place and stead and for my use and benefit to ask, demand, sue for, recover and receive of and from the Administrator, Executor or this legal representative of the estate of the late Austin W. Bowles, deceased, any and all sum or sums of money due me from said estate as a creditor or otherwise and to make, execute, seal and deliver in my name all necessary agreements, acquittances, Receipts or other legal instruments or writing necessary or requests for carrying into execution the power and authority herein granted, giving and granting unto my said attorney full power and authority to do and perform all and every act and thing whatsoever requsite and necessary to be done in and about the premises as fully to all interest and purposes as I might or could do if personally present, with full power of substitution and revocation hereby notifying and confirming all that my said attorney or his substitute may lawfully do or cause to be done by virtue hereof.
