This indenture this 7th day of Noveber in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one, between William Martin and Sarah his wife of the county of Franklin of the one party and Obediah White of the county aforesaid of the other party. Witnesseth that the said William Martin and Sarah his wife doth acknowledge himself fully satisfied, contented and paid of every part and parcel of one certain track or parsle of land, and doth by these presents grant bargain sell and confirm unto the said Obadiah White on certain tract or parsle of land situate, lying and being in the county aforesaid on the waters of Chesnut Creek, containing by estimation one hundred and thirty nine acres, be the same more or less, and bounded as followeth, to wit. beginning at pointers in Howsers line thence N 40 W 100 poles to a black oak, N 87 W 110 poles crossing a branch to a white oak near Coles Road, S 19 W 50 poles to a Chesnut tree thence S 60 W 46 poles to a Chesnut tree, South 16 W 66 poles to a white oak N 70 E 206 poles to the Beginning, thence the courses of the second Patent beginning at Pointers in Howser's line and Martin's and with it N 55 E 84 poles crossing a branch three times to a Spanish oak on a branch thence up the same as it meanders to a maple tree in Jamison's line S 55 W 144 poles to the old line & with it S 87 E 68 poles to a reed oak, S 42 E 20 poles to the beginning together with appurtences thereunto belonging with all houses or ??, woods, ways, waters courses thereunto belonging or in any way appertaining. To have and to hold above mentioned tract or parsel of land and premises in fe siple, and the said William Martin and Sarah his wife doth warrant and forever defend said track of land and premises from the just and lawfull clame of every person or persons to the proper use behoof of him the said Obediah White and his heirs & his assigns forever. Witness whereof he the said William Martin and Sarah his wife doth set their hands and seal the day and year above mentioned.

This indenture of bargain and sale between William Martin and Sarah his wife of the one part and Obadiah White of the other part, was acknowledged by the said William Martin and Sarah his wife, the said Sarah being first prively examined according to law voluntarily relinguished her right of downer in and to the lands and premises coveyed by this indenture, which is ordered to be received.
