This Indenture made and entered into between Nancy G. Clark of the one part and Wade Veluzat of the other part, both of the county of Barren and state of Kentucky. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of forty five dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, I have bargained and sold and do by these presents bargain sell and convey to Wade Veluzat a certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in Barren County Ky. on the head waters of Glovers Creek and being a part of the tract whereon I know reside. Beginning at a stake corner to said Veluzat & Nancy G. Clark in the division line between Elizabeth D. and Nancy G. Clark and running thence S 65 W 8 poles to a stone, thence S 24 E 98 poles to two Beeches in the line between N. G. Clark & the widow Payne thence E 28 poles to the original corner of said N. G. Clarkâs survey (an ash stump) thence N 9 W 24 poles to a white oak and sugartree thence West 24 poles to a sugartree & Beech thence N 20 W 78 poles to the Beginning, containing ten acres and 16 poles be the same more or less to have and to hold to the said Veluzat his heirs & assigns forever. And I do moreover covenant and agree to warrant and forever defend a good and lawful title to the aforesaid tract of land to the said Veluzat his heirs &C free from the claim or claims of all persons whatsoever. Witness my hand and seal this 31st day of January 1844.

I Thomas J. Helm clerk of the county court for said county certify that this deed from Nancy G. Clark to Wade Veluzat was on this day acknowledged before me by the said Clark to be her act and deed. Whereupon the same and this certificate has been recorded in my office given under my hnd this 31 day of January 1844.
