George Dooly of Woodford County KY to Obediah White of Barren County

This indenture made this 8th day of November in the year 1813 between George Dooly of Woodford County in the state of Kentucky of the one part and Obediah White of Barren County in the state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Dooly for and in consideration of the sum of nine hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said White at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, and sell unto the said White part of a certain tract of land lying in the said county of Barren which was granted to said Dooly by patent bearing date the 28th day of January 1811. The part whereof hereby intended to be bargained and sold contains one hundred and sixty acres and is bounded as follows. (to wit) Beginning at a sugartree and hopwood on Reuben Dooly's east line thence S 10 degrees West 179 poles passing Reuben Dooly's corner at 139 poles to two hickories, thence south 80 degrees east 143 poles crossing a branch to a hickory corner to Wm. Smith near Julius Bailey's improvement, thence with said Smith's line N 10 degrees east 179 poles to another of Smith's corners in said patent line two small sugartrees, thence with the last line of the patient aforesaid N 80 degrees W 143 poles to the Beginning together with all and singular the appurtencences to the same belonging or in anywere appurtaining to have and to hold the said one hundred and sixth acres to him the said White, his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Dooly for himself, his heirs, E--(?) & Adm.s doth hereby covenant, grant, promise and agree to and with the said White the the said one hundred & sixty acres of land with the appurtenances to the same belonging the said White, his heirs or assigns free from the claim or claims of the said Dooly, his heirs and all other persons whatsoever, he the said Dooly shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said Dooly and Elizabeth his wife in testimony of her free consent to this bargain and sale have beretonsed(?) their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

This deed from George Dooly & Elizabeth his wife to Obediah White was this day produced before me in my office & acknowledge by the said George Dooly to be his act and deed & Elizabeth his wife being privaly examined by me as the laws directs voluntiarily relinguished her rights of dower to the premises in this deed conveyed and the same agreeably to the act of assembly in such case made and provided is certified to the county of Barren where the premises be given under my hand as clerk of the Woodford County Court this 16th November 1813
