John D. Bowles, S.E. Bowles (his wife), J.C. Hord, N.E. Hord (his wife) to W.C. Bowles
This indenture made and entered into this the 1st day of February 1886 between John D. Bowles and S.E. Bowles his wife of the county of Metcalfe and State of Kentucky and J.C. Hord and N.E. Hord his wife of the county of Edmunson and State afforsaid parties of the first part and W.C. Bowles of the county of Metcalfe and State afforesaid party of the second part, witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars cash in hand paid reciept of which is hereby fully acknowledged the parties of the first part hath this day sold ... and conveyed unto the party of the second part a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the county and State afforesaid on the waters of Glovers Crkke bounded as follows beginning at a stone Nancy Pages corner thence N 73 poles to a stone thence N 55 W 94 poles to two sweet gums thence with an old marked line S 27 3/4 W 174 poles to a beech G.B. Lees corner thence with said line S 87 E 72 poles to a stone thence N 80 E 104 poles to the beginning containing one hundred and one acre to the party of the second part and his heirs forever and the party of the first part agree to and with the party of the second part to warrant and forever defend the title to two sevenths of their undivided interests in the above described tract or parcel of land free from the claim or claims of themselves and their heirs and against the claim of any and all persons whatsoever. S.E. Bowles and N.E. Hord hereby relinquishing all rite of dowery and homestead in same given under our hands this the 1st day of February 1886
